Would you like to take the orchid trail featuring 18 rare orchids and other protected plants? Or explore the hiking trails along the river valleys of the Saale, Unstrut, Elster, and Ilm? Follow traces of history along the vineyard or mill trails and indulge in delicious regional food and drink? They’re all fun and interesting: the choice is yours.

On the water

Paddling a boat is probably the single best way to discover the true beauty of Naumburg and its environs with their magnificent limestone cliffs, proud fortresses and castles, historical bridges and enchanted river banks. This river-rich region naturally also offers anglers an array of interesting waters.

In the air

Impressive and memorable perspectives are also available to visitors who dare to take to the skies – be it in a glider, paraglider, or hot-air balloon. You can take a “top-down” tour of the region starting from the airfield at Laucha-Dorndorf, for example.
